Each month MobCraft crowdsources beer recipe ideas from their fans and puts these ideas up for a vote. The recipe with the most pre-orders wins and is then brewed on a commercial scale. “Dudeism” is a White Russian Stout that pays homage to the signature drink featured in The Big Lebowski. The recipe winner – person reaching out towards “The Dude” – belongs to the Dudeism religion. In order to honor the religion and the movie, religious parodies, movie details, and personal easter eggs are unified to really tie this illustration together. The Dude abides.
24 days of beers? Yes, please! With most consumers drinking at home, 2020 was the perfect year to fulfill MobCraft’s dream of making a beer advent calendar. Thanks to their diverse portfolio featuring an array of ingredients and styles, each number was custom designed to capture the individual magic behind every door. The doors were also perforated and functioned as tear off tags for fans to use in their Instagram posts to enter the #cheersto24beers giveaway to win beer for a year.
Sahti: A traditional Finnish-style beer brewed by filtering the mash through spruce tips and flavored with juniper berries. This old-world style fuses with funky and complex flavors from the addition of Brettanomyces to create a symphony of flavors. Illustrating a Nordic scene honors the origins of this beer while the Northern Lights and metallic substrate capture the sensation of flavors that dance across the palate.
When MobCraft decided to break into the cider game, they were looking for a new brand identity that distinguished them from their craft beer brands. To reflect the simplicity of this product – unlike most of their beers – a simple, straightforward approach was taken for the design. This system was also designed with the intention for it to be adaptable and expandable for future wine and experimental beverage lines.
Agave Wine Co.’s plant obsession is on full display in their office. Custom agave illustrations were created to not only honor the office space, but also characterize the nature of the product which is a 100% agave fermented wine. No grapes used here.
Reflecting the unique styles and flavors present at this exclusive beer festival, the branding needed to capture when funky meets fancy. The vibrant colors of these living liquids drove the color palette. Just like these luxurious libations, the details are nuanced throughout the branding from a “sour to funky” menu slider to the sour beer brewing process on the sampler glasses that doubled as the pour line.
In celebration of Sour Fest, the annual release of the award-winning Sour Golden Ale series is released. The SGA series is an extension of the funky yet fancy Sour Fest branding. Inspired by Mid-Century Modern wallpaper, each pattern puts the ingredients on display and makes a statement. A touch of metallic gold is used throughout the packaging and mimics the color of the gold medal-winning liquid that’s housed inside.
Always looking to incorporate a good pun, this MC series set the stage for a throwback design. Inspired by MC Hammer and his famous parachute pants, the custom patterns and geometric shapes helps deliver the 90’s nostalgia.

The inaugural line of Belgian-style sours from MobCraft’s Wild & Sour Program required thoughtful details to fully capture the complexity of this creation. Dreamy, hand lettered typography and space debris inspired by microscopic yeast cultures help capture the existential qualities of this traditional brewing process.
